This Privacy Policy describes how Sigmo handles personal information in connection with its website, applications, and related services that link to this policy (the “Services”). “Sigmo,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of these Services.
The information involved depends on the features you use. This policy covers visitors, people requesting access, account holders, subscribers, community participants, and people who contact us. A feature-specific notice may provide additional details at the point where you use a feature.
1. Information you provide
When you use the relevant parts of the Services, the information you provide can include:
- Account and contact information: your name, email address, username, profile details, authentication information, and preferences.
- Access requests and support messages: the contact details and messages you submit through forms, support requests, or other communications.
- Research and portfolio information: watchlists, saved charts, alerts, holdings or transactions you enter, trading journal entries, research notes, and strategy settings.
- Simulated activity: paper-account settings, simulated orders, results, and challenge participation.
- AI interactions and uploads: prompts, conversation history, feedback, attachments, images, documents, and generated responses associated with your use of AI tools.
- Community content: profiles, posts, comments, shared charts, images, reactions, and messages submitted through community features.
- Subscription records: your selected plan, purchase and payment status, transaction references, and information needed to administer billing or support a purchase.
- Privacy requests and choices: information you provide to manage consent, exercise rights, or identify the account involved in a request.
You choose whether to use optional features. Some information is necessary to provide an account, respond to a request, process a purchase, or operate a feature you select.
2. Technical information and browser storage
Accessing the Services generates technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, request times, session information, and operational or error logs. Website and application tools can also process page or feature activity for operation, diagnostics, and usage measurement.
Cookies and similar technologies, including browser local storage, support sign-in sessions, preferences, saved state, and website functionality. The website and app may use different tools, so their storage and settings can differ.
You can use browser settings to block cookies or clear stored data and use any privacy controls presented by the relevant service. Blocking or clearing storage may sign you out or remove saved settings. Clearing browser storage does not, by itself, delete information stored on our servers or with service providers.
3. Information from other services
When you use a third-party sign-in method, we receive the identifiers and profile information made available through that method. When you make a purchase through a payment provider or app store, we receive information needed to recognize the purchase and manage access, payment status, and related support.
If an enabled feature lets you connect or import information from an external service, the information involved depends on the connection and permissions you choose. Review that feature's notice and the external provider's policy before connecting an account. Availability of an integration can vary by account and environment.
4. How information is used
We process information to create and authenticate accounts; provide requested market, charting, research, portfolio, learning, and community features; save your work and preferences; generate AI responses; administer subscriptions; respond to messages and support requests; and send service or account communications.
Information also supports troubleshooting, performance monitoring, security, abuse prevention, and administration of the Services. We may need to process or preserve records to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or establish and defend legal claims. Where a feature requires a separate consent or choice, review the notice provided for that feature.
5. AI features and conversation history
Sigmo uses OpenAI to support AI features. When you use these features, requests can include your prompt and context relevant to the task, such as conversation history, uploaded files, chart images, selected securities, and portfolio or research information used by the feature. Processing an AI request involves sending the relevant input to the AI service supporting that request.
The app provides AI-processing consent controls. Review the notice shown before using the relevant AI feature. You can withdraw AI-processing consent through the privacy controls in Settings. Withdrawal affects future use of features that require that consent; it does not automatically delete information already processed.
Conversation history and saved memory are different types of stored information. Clearing chat memory does not necessarily delete the conversations themselves. Use the available controls for the information you want to remove, or contact us to request help.
This policy does not promise zero retention, absence of human review, or a particular model-training exclusion by every provider. Do not include passwords, full payment credentials, government identifiers, or unrelated sensitive information in prompts or uploads. Contact us if you need clarification about processing before using an AI feature.
6. Portfolio information and payments
When you enter or import holdings, balances, trades, or journal entries, that information is processed to provide the tools you choose. Paper trading records describe simulated activity. Imported or connected financial records may describe actual financial activity.
Payment processing involves the payment provider or app store used for the purchase. The payment information requested and that provider's handling of it are explained in its checkout and privacy notice. Sigmo uses subscription and transaction records to administer access and handle billing issues.
Disconnecting a service, canceling a subscription, and requesting deletion are separate actions. Review the relevant account and billing controls, or contact us for help with the specific action you want to take.
7. Community and shared content
Information you publish or share is visible to the audience provided by the feature. Public profiles, posts, charts, research, or leaderboard entries may be viewed, copied, or redistributed by others and may appear in search results. Messages are available to their recipients and are processed to operate the messaging feature.
Before sharing, check the audience and remove private details from images, charts, and documents. Removing content from Sigmo cannot remove copies independently saved by other people. You can contact us about information within our control.
8. When information is disclosed
Providing the Services involves providers that support hosting, storage, authentication, communications, website operation, analytics, payments, and AI processing, as relevant to the feature. Information is disclosed to these providers for their role in supporting the Services.
Information can also be disclosed to recipients you choose through sharing or messaging; when required by law or a lawful request; where permitted and necessary to protect rights, security, or safety; and to advisers or parties involved in a business transfer, subject to applicable requirements. Additional disclosures can occur at your direction or with your consent.
External services may have responsibilities and processing purposes of their own. Review their privacy notices when you interact with them. Linking to another service does not make its privacy practices the same as ours.
9. Retention and security
Different records serve different purposes. Account information, saved research, conversations, subscription records, support messages, and operational logs do not necessarily have the same retention period. Retention depends on the relevant feature, the purpose of the record, applicable obligations, and the handling of backups and provider records.
You can ask us about retention or request deletion of information associated with your account. Some records may need to be retained for legal, billing, security, or dispute-resolution purposes. A request may therefore have a different effect from clearing information visible in an app screen.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Protect your account credentials, use available security settings, and contact us if you believe someone has accessed your account without authorization.
10. Your choices and privacy requests
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of personal information, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain uses or disclosures. Rights and exceptions depend on the relevant law and circumstances.
To make a request, use our Contact Us page or email support@sigmo.us. Use “Privacy request” as the subject and explain what you want us to do. Include enough information to identify the relevant account or interaction, without sending passwords, payment credentials, or unnecessary sensitive documents.
We may need to verify your identity or an agent's authority before disclosing or changing account information. Requests are subject to applicable requirements and exceptions. If a right to appeal or complain to a regulator applies, you may exercise that right. Contact us if you need assistance understanding a response or accessing this policy.
Privacy laws may treat some disclosures for advertising or measurement as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising even where no money changes hands. You can use the same contact route to ask about those practices or submit an applicable opt-out request. This notice does not replace any specific choice or notice required for the processing involved.
11. Email and notifications
Use the unsubscribe option provided in promotional emails or contact us to request that promotional messages stop. Account, security, billing, and support messages may still be needed to administer the Services. Device and application settings provide controls for supported notifications.
12. Account closure and deletion
Use an available account-deletion control or contact us to request account closure or deletion. Explain whether your request concerns the whole account, particular content, AI history, or another category of information.
Deleting an app, unsubscribing from email, clearing browser storage, or disconnecting an external service does not by itself close your account or delete all stored information. Subscription cancellation may require a separate step through the billing provider or app store used for the purchase.
13. International access and external services
Online services and their providers can process information in countries other than the one where you live. Applicable requirements depend on the service and processing involved. Contact us if you need information about the handling of a particular account or feature.
External websites, embedded content, and integrations may collect information under their own policies. Review their notices and permissions before providing information.
14. Children's information
If you believe a child has submitted personal information in circumstances requiring parental consent or other protections, contact us so the situation can be reviewed and addressed under applicable requirements. Do not submit a child's sensitive information in a public post or an AI prompt.
15. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the Services or their practices change. The “Last updated” date identifies the latest revision. Additional notice or consent may be required for particular changes under applicable law.
For privacy questions and requests, contact Sigmo through the Contact Us page or support@sigmo.us.
